New tech workshops coming this summer!
Following are three new workshop titles (and descriptions) proposed for this coming summer!
Podcasting for Faculty
More than simply recording your lectures and putting them online, educational podcasting involves preparation, planning, and a fair amount of technical manipulation. This workshop provides an overview of the techniques of podcasting as well as the pedagogical best practices. Be prepared to record!
PowerPoint: Building Interactivity
Improve your educational effectiveness beyond one-way linear presentations by incorporating elements of interactivity in your PowerPoint files. Learn how to use easy-to-learn strategies like looping, jumping and branching. Develop active buttons, set up menu systems jumping to any slide in your presentation, create hypertext links to Web sites…even establish links to other PowerPoint presentations!
Making Your Online Course Interactive: Tools and Techniques
Quality online courses engage students with a variety e-learning activities including games, simulations, self-assessments, and more. This workshop provides an overview of such rapid development tools as Respondus, Hot Potatoes, Captivate, Quandary, and Flash. Find out which techniques are right for you!
